Bravida chooses Guard Automation to revolutionise service operations

26. august, 2026

Bravida Oslo has entered into a partnership with the technology company Guard Automation. The goal is to revolutionise operation and maintenance of building technical installations.

Bravida performs technical maintenance and inspection on 2,500 buildings in greater Oslo, and approximately 300 buildings in Oslo city centre. Now the contractor has entered into a partnership with Guard Automation to digitise and automate the service and maintenance of building technical installations.

”Today, maintenance and inspections are calendar-driven and predefined. Together with Guard, we will change this to be based on actual use and real needs. The goal is for buildings to automatically alert our service technicians to faults or the need for inspection, and everything will happen automagically,” smiles Anders Fjæstad, who heads the Green Hub initiative at Bravida in Oslo.

”It helps to revolutionise how service, operation and maintenance are done,” he adds.

Tommy Brurberg Hansen, Sales Manager for Industrial IoT and AI at Guard Automation, is proud of the agreement with Bravida.

”It is a major feather in our cap that Bravida has chosen us as the technology provider for such a central project for their business. We will collect data from thousands of technical installations and contribute to increased productivity and sustainability through smart data analysis and improved insights - completely in line with the core idea behind the fourth industrial revolution,” says Hansen.

The digitalisation collaboration will ensure that building operators, property owners and service technicians at Bravida always have updated information about technical installations. The information is made available through dynamic control panels in the cloud-based platform from Guard.

Part of the Green Hub initiative

The collaboration is part of the Green Hub initiative at Bravida, which was launched in September 2020.

”The Green Hub initiative is about offering all types of services in close proximity to our customers in major cities. We have our own premises right in the centre of Oslo with 40-50 skilled workers in all technical fields, who respond on bicycles at short notice. The goal is to reduce response times, costs and emissions,” says Fjæstad, who heads the Green Hub initiative in the capital.

The initiative to be close to customers in cities started in Oslo, but was recently expanded to Sweden and Denmark.

”We solve assignments in electrical, plumbing, ventilation, security, electric power and technical building operations. Our ambitions for the digitalisation partnership with Guard are high. We are already underway with a pilot project at Stortingsgata 10 in Oslo, and believe the initiative has the potential to revolutionise how service and maintenance are performed worldwide,” says Fjæstad and continues:

”Among other things, by having service technicians automatically alerted with detailed information about what is likely wrong. In this way, manual work and costs are reduced, while efficiency is strengthened.”

Fjæstad explains that Guard was chosen after a careful evaluation.

”We chose Guard because they have the expertise and technology required. They handle critical infrastructure and are a reputable Norwegian company with a long track record in automation and system integration. Unlike other providers who have to build IT solutions from scratch, Guard already has a scalable platform and data hub that ensures the road to the goal is both faster and more cost-effective,” Fjæstad concludes.
